‘Colored farmers’: YouTube host uses unbelievably racist video to critique Biden policy

Mostly focusing on how systemic racism plays out every day, I rarely write about what may seem like an outdated example of racism—that crystal clear version many people have of a hooded klansman calling a Black person the N-word and demanding that he go back to Africa. Count on YouTube commenter Steven Crowder, however, to remind us all that depiction isn’t so outdated after all.

Tracking Biden’s promises to Black America: Those we wish he never made and ones we pray he’ll keep

President Joe Biden would not be where he is without Black voters. Fittingly, he’s made some pretty weighty promises in his plan for Black America. We’re keeping track of them all in a biweekly series.

It’s difficult to gauge the success of any movement aimed at affecting widespread and systematic change. That’s especially true for the Black Lives Matter movement, which has what can feel like the insurmountable aims of eradicating white supremacy and fighting police brutality in Black communities. But as difficult as it is to quantify the movement’s success, it’s just as difficult to ignore its impact.
